Liberty Infrastructure Partners Inc. (LIB.TSX.V)

We are following Liberty Infrastructure Partners Inc, a company with what appears to be a very bright future in the lithium business. They are fast tracking a process whereby they extract lithium from brine in the oil business and their process appears to be working very nicely indeed.

The company issued a press release today stating that they have produced their first ‘Lithium Carbonate’ from their Automated Refining Unit in the Texas Permian Basin. This is a major step along the way for Liberty.

-Their process methodology involves plugging directly into the existing infrastructure along the pathway of the brine, applying their extraction methods and then allowing the brine to move along the system as it would if they were not even inline.

This method saves them having to build their own infrastructure. It is easy to see that a MAJOR plus for them and their clients in terms of keeping costs down.

The company has received funding from more than one government department in the United States plus has research affiliations with the University of North Dakota for lithium carbonate testing plus recently hired Dr. Steven Harich, Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of California.

Stay tuned for more news from this very exciting lithium extraction story…
